The Romantik-Hotel "Zum Stern" is one of the oldest guest houses of Hesse. At the former stagecoach station you can feel 1000 years of living history, since 1874 is the hotel managed by the family Kniese. For events we offer individual equipped function rooms for up to 80 persons. The hotel offers a multiplicity of wellness and relaxing facilities like sauna, infrared cabin, steam and aroma bath, swimming pool and a body & face studio. On request we would like to organize literary walks, guided culinary city tours, bicycle and paddle tours, excursions to the Wartburg castle and a lot of other sights. We are also the perfect basis for golf tourists, 4 different golf courses are just 20 km away.
Stern´s restaurant offers modern menus with seasonal, regional dishes. The gourmet restaurant L´étable (received 16 points in the Gault Millau restaurant guide), means cattle shed in German because it is located in a building that once housed coaches. Here you will find an exquisite ambiance and gourmet cuisine with a varied selection of fresh menus.
Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate.

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, 80 percent of all nights will be charged.
All children are welcome. All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years are charged EUR 15.00 per night and person for cots. All older children or adults are charged EUR 33.00 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 2.
